Thursday Note Home

Dear Visitation Families,

In the last few days the weather has been so beautiful that it is easy to feel the presence of our God in the incredible colors of our Spring. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday at a training offered by the Archdiocese titled “Called to Protect”.

The scenery of the Sound with the Olympics in the distance was spectacular but the information in this training was very hard to listen to as it dealt with the topic of the sexual abuse of children. The Archdiocese of Seattle has provided this excellent program to keep our children safe.

The program includes parts for teaching safety to children, a component for older children, and a piece for parents and families. As hard as the information is to hear, having this knowledge will help us to keep our children safe. I will send home more information on these programs in the Fall.
