Living the Gospel. Making a Difference.

Horrified by the unfolding tragedy in Uganda, the VCS graduating class gave up their 8th Grade trip to Victoria B.C. and instead donated the money they had raised, totaling nearly $3200, to Invisible Children.

We are immensely proud of them for their decision.

As one of student said, "Sure, it's three days of fun for us that we're going to miss, but it could mean saving lives. We didn't hesitate."

And as somebody else once said:

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? (Epistle of James, 2:14-16)
