Dear Visitation Families,
Next Saturday is the four-Parish celebration of Pentecost. We will be celebrating as a larger community at the 5:00 St. Ann Mass. Just as a reminder, there will be no 5:00 Saturday Mass at Visitation, Sacred Heart, or SJW parishes. I am really looking forward to this celebration as it is a wonderful feeling to feel a part of this larger community.
I love Pentecost because, to me, this was the day that we were given our “marching orders” to spread the Good News and continue the work that Jesus had begun on Earth. With all four of our diverse communities together, we can truly feel that we are part of the Universal Church inspired with new energy by the Holy Spirit.
I know that this is also a long Memorial Day weekend and many families will be out of town. However, if you are in town, please come and be part of this great celebration. People are asked to wear the color red to Church on Pentecost, so have your children wear their uniforms. Yes, they will get a free dress day on Tuesday, the 29th, if they attend St. Ann on Saturday.
TRACK TEAM NEWS: Grades 5 - 8’s big meet was last Saturday and the Vikings did very well!
